How is Zenova IP thermal insulation paint applied?

Answer:

Zenova’s IP thermal insulation paint can be applied by brush, roller, or airless sprayer. Whilst no specialist equipment or training is necessary to apply Zenova IP thermal insulation paint, optimal results are achieved when Zenova IP thermal insulation paint is applied by a professional contractor using an airless spray gun.

Application by airless spray gun allows the recommended application thickness to be achieved through several very thin layers of the paint, rather than one or two thicker coats. This ensures a more attractive finish to the painted surface, a more even application of Zenova IP thermal insulation paint and helps avoids gaps in the paint which can affect its thermal performance and effectiveness.

Application instructions are provided with Zenova IP thermal insulation paint and are also in Zenova’s Technical Data Sheet which can be downloaded from Zenova’s website. The instructions include the correct process for preparing surfaces, the use of Zenova primer, the recommended and optimal application thickness of Zenova IP thermal insulation paint, and drying times required between coats. A recommended equipment guide can also be found on Zenova’s website.
