Is Zenova FP fire protection paint suitable for use both indoors and out?

Answer:

Yes, Zenova FP fire protection paint can also be used both inside and outside a property. Internally, Zenova FP fire protection paint is frequently used to improve fire safety in communal areas of multi-residency properties such as blocks of flats, as well as on doors to improve their fire rating, and anywhere else that improving fire safety and stopping the potential spread of fire is important.

All Zenova products are subjected to extensive testing and our Zenova FP fire protection paint has been awarded the most stringent fire safety classifications there are, including the latest BS EN 13501 and tested as per CAN/ULC S102 and UL 723. Full details of the testing Zenova FP fire protection paint has been subjected to can be found on the Zenova FP product pages.

BS EN 13501-1 classification was introduced in 2018 and is the very latest fire safety test now adopted by building regulators. It is achieved following far more stringent combustibility tests than were previously in place. Zenova FP fire protection paint achieving BS EN 13501-1 classification makes it one of the few fire protection paints on the market which has achieved this highest standard of safety classification.

When using Zenova FP fire protection paint outside we do recommend the application of Zenova Topcoat after a surface has been painted with Zenova FP fire protection paint, as this provides it with added protect from the elements.
