Using a conventional frying pan and a portable gas stove, we will illustrate how effective Zenova IP is as a thermal barrier and insulator.
We applied primer to the whole surface of the frying pan and once dried applied two coats of Zenova IP to the right-hand side, and two coats of a Dulux emulsion paint for walls and ceilings to the left-hand side.Â
We then placed the frying pan on the gas stove and lit it. An ice cube is then added to each side of the pan.
As you can see, the ice cube on the left-hand side, the side painted with the Dulux emulsion, has immediately begun to melt. However, the ice cube on the right-hand side, the side painted with Zenova’s Insulation Paint, has remained intact. It is not melting despite the gas stove heating the base of the whole frying pan.
This simple demonstration clearly shows how effective Zenova IP insulation paint is as a thermal barrier, and how it can assist in providing additional insulation on a multitude of applications.Â
