Using a conventional frying pand and a portable gas stove, we will illustrate how effective Zenova IR is when used as a thermal barrier and insulator.
We applied a primer to the whole base of a frying pan, and once dried, applied a five millimetre layer of Zenova IR to the right-hand side of the frying pan and applied a five millimetre layer of a recognised brand of standard render to the left-hand side.Â
We then placed the frying pan onto the gas stove and lit it. An ice cube is added to each side of the pan.Â
As you can see the ice cube on the left-hand side of the frying pan, the side with the standard render, has immediately bugun to melt. However, the ice cube on the right-hand side, the side with Zenova’s Insulation Render, remains intact. It is not melting, despite the gas stove heating the base of the whole frying pan.
This simple demonstration clearly shows how effective Zenova’s Insulation Render is as a thermal barrier, and how it can help provide additional insulation to buildings when applied on either internal or external walls.
