ZENOVA IP - Insulation PaintZENOVA IP thermal insulating coating embeds the most modern insulating technology in a thermos-like ultra-thin layer. ZENOVA IP saves energy by increasing the thermal insulation level in commercial and residential buildings. Compared to the high price of classic insulation, ZENOVA IP represents a cheaper alternative, but of higher quality.

Solar heat can increase the temperature within a building by 75% to 90%. ZENOVA IP has been independently tested and validated to deflect, absorb and dissipate up to 75% of this heat, thereby reducing the inside temperature by up to 45%!

ZENOVA FP - Fire Protection Paint

ZENOVA FP - Fire Protection PaintAlso known as intumescent or thermofoaming paint, Fire Protect (FP) is a heat-resistant water-based paint that prevents the ignition and spread of fire. As a result of being exposed to heat, the intumescent paint swells and creates a light char foam, increasing in volume and decreasing in density. The heat transfer from the flames to the substrate is thereby greatly diminished. Treated materials become isolated from elements that maintain fire combustion since the paint turns into an insulating protective membrane.

Zenova IR thermal insulating coating is designed to be added with concrete and plaster for a render application to walls both internal and external. Zenova IR saves energy by 30% by increasing the thermal insulation level in commercial and residential buildings. Zenova IR is another revolutionary insulation product with immediate effects and benefits.

Solar heat can increase the temperature within a building by 75% to 90%. Zenova IR has been independently tested and validated to reflect, absorb and dissipate up to 75% of this heat thereby reducing the inside temperature buy up to 45%. ZENOVE IP - Insulation Paint
Has Zenova IP been lab tested/verified?
Absolutely! Independent government lab tests from different countries have been done to validate the performance of Zenova IP Insulating Paint and are available upon request.
Are there any transportation or storage requirements?
The product does not require special transportation and storage conditions. Keep out of direct sun during transportation and storage. Temperature range for transportation and storage: 5 to 40 Celcius.
What is the recommended thickness of paint for Zenova IP?
For most cases, the recommended thickness should be up to 3mm. As a general rule, the larger the temperature difference between the 2 areas that are separated by Zenova IP, the thicker Zenova IP should be applied.
Can Zenova IP be painted directly on any substrate or does the surface need special preparation?
It is recommended that the surface be clean and dust free prior to applying Zenova IP primer. Zenova IP paint may be applied after the primer has fully dried. Please follow the instructions listed in the application guide which you can download above.
What equipment is best to use to apply Zenova IP paint?
Please refer to our downloadable datasheet above for details regarding equipment used.
Can any primer be used?
No, specific primers have been developed for the Zenova IP and Zenova FP paints.

Has Zenova FP been lab tested/verified?
Absolutely! Zenova FP has been independently government tested to meet or exceed the requirements of BS EN 13501 - ``Fire classification of construction products and building elements. Classification using data from reaction to fire tests``
How exactly does Zenova FP protect from fire?
When high levels of heat (i.e. flames) come in contact with Zenova FP fireproof paint the paint reacts by transforming into a char which looks like a carbonized foam. This foam further expands (swells) and acts like an insulating layer and reduces the transmission of heat into the substrate. Furthermore, the release of water vapour helps to cool the substrate.
When properly applied, how long will Zenova FP protect a substrate from the spread of fire?
Our tests have shown that Zenova FP offers fire protection even after 4 hours!

Is the primer mandatory for Zenova FP?
Zenova FP primer is mandatory on all surfaces prior to applying Zenova FP.
Is there a specific primer thickness?
No, only a thin layer of primer is needed with primer consumption of 50-100g/m2.

What is the recommended thickness of the Zenova IR render when applied?
We recommend a minimum of 1mm thickness and a maximum of 5mm
How is the Zenova IR product applied?
Following mixing the Zenova IR solution with the cement or plaster into a paste like texture, it is then applied to the surface by trowel to a smooth surface finish.
Can Zenova IR be applied both internally and externally?
Yes Zenova IR has been developed for both internal and external use. Using Zenova IR both internal and external maximises the insulation benefits for both warm and cold climates.
What are the Render insulation properties once applied to a property wall?
Just 1mm thickness of Zenova IR render equals 25mm of polystyrene or mineral wool making the product a very cost effective and durable product with outstanding insulation results.
