If you are looking for a simple and affordable way to improve your properties energy efficiency, its SAP score, EPC rating and lower your heating and cooling bills, there has never been a better time to consider Zenova IP, a highly effective thermal insulating paint that can be applied to any surface.
The improvements, that Zenova IP can bring to the insulation characteristics of a property, allow it to benefit from increases to its energy efficiency rating and SAP score leading to an overall improvement to its EPC ratings. This was highlighted in the recent study by John Moores Liverpool University The project set out to explore the performance of thermal barrier coatings in a retrofit environment with the specific aim of evaluating the performance of Zenova IP for use in retrofit applications. The results were extraordinary;
- A 35% reduction to the buildings U-Value.
- A 25% reduction to the buildings heating energy consumption.
- A 19% reduction to the buildings CO2 carbon emissions.
- An improvement of the buildings SAP score of 24 points.
- The properties EPC rating improved from E to D.
These results corroborate the findings from a recent study that Together Housing conducted on a property that had proven very difficult to treat. It had very high energy bills, with the properties performance being so poor and the associated costs to run it being high. The purpose of the study was to ascertain what improvements, if any, applying Zenova IP would have on the property.
Commenting on the benefits that Zenova IP can bring, Gemma Voaden, Delivery Manager – Retrofit and Renewable Heat for Together Housing stated; “following our own positive pilot trial using Zenova IP the University findings will now confirm that along with the Zenova IP and heating changes we have completed would potentially improve the EPC rating from G to high D. This would mean a great deal for many housing associations. Not only can we tackle DMC issues but also improve temperatures and now U-values. The trial we ran together initially was to ensure the next tenants would be able to afford to heat their property. As a result of this and other interventions we have improved the EPC rating so that it can now be rented. Once this is added to RdSAP for the EPC ratings this will be a fantastic solution for all those properties which are hard to treat. We will be able to use this product to reduce heat loss, fuel costs and increase EPC ratings.”
These results highlight the incredible benefits that Zenova IP can bring to any property and further showcases it as a cost-effective solution for homeowners, social housing providers, local authorities, property developers, housing associations and landlords who want to improve the insulation characteristics of their properties and meet the government’s targets for reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency ratings.
Zenova IP can be used on any type of surface, such as metal, concrete, wood, etc., and can be applied both externally and internally. It has been independently tested and validated by multiple accredited testing agencies to meet various standards for thermal performance, durability and safety and it also has anti-condensation, anti-corrosion and anti-mold characteristics, which can extend the life of your home’s structure and, due its good decorative finish will also enhance its appearance.
There has never been a better time to apply Zenova IP to your property.
